The Kuna Bitcoin Agency is planning to install around 150 bitcoin automated teller machines (BTM) throughout Ukraine by the end of 2017.

Michael Chobanian, founder of Kuna Bitcoin Agency and Kuna Cryptocurrency Exchange, said approximately 20-30 Cryptomat BTMs will be installed in Kiev by the end of the summer.

“By the end of the year, around 150 Bitcoin ATMs will be installed throughout Ukraine,” said Chobanian. “This is at the request of one customer who contacted us. Plus, there is a constant demand from entrepreneurs across Ukraine who want to engage in this business, that is, buy terminals and sell cryptocurrencies.”

The planned 150 BTMs will be able to support the sale of such digital currencies as ether, Waves, Golos, and bitcoin. Customers in Ukraine will be able to buy the digital currencies using the country’s official currency, hryvnia.

Currently, there is only one BTM in the country in southern Ukraine, installed in April. Other than this BTM, there are approximately 4,000 street terminals that reportedly sell bitcoin in the form of vouchers which can be redeemed online for bitcoin.
