Ambrosus Adds to Advisory Boardbr>
Blockchain-based supply chain ecosystem Ambrosus has added Jehan Chu and David Drake to its advisory board. Chu and Drake will provide counsel on critical issues such as partnership and business development, marketing, and investor relations.
Ambrosus combines sensors, blockchain technology, and smart contracts to reduce inefficiency in the global food supply chain in pursuance of its goal to become the first publicly verifiable and community-driven system to assure the quality, safety, and origins of food. The announcement comes after Ambrosus revealed its peer-to-peer (p2p) food marketplace, which allows users to stipulate food quality. The p2p marketplace uses blockchain technology combined with Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensors to ensure the provenance and quality of products. The marketplace allows buyers to browse a range of offers from food producers globally.
Chu is the co-founder and managing partner of Kenetic Capital (formerly Jen Advisors), one of the first Blockchain Venture Capital and Cryptocurrency Funds as well as Token Sale Advisory in Asia. Chu founded the Ethereum Hong Kong Community, the Hyperledger Hong Kong Community and co-founded the Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong. He also serves as the co-Chairman of the Hong Kong FinTech Association Blockchain Committee, is a member of the Asia FinTech Angels Association, a Fellow of Singapore University of Social Sciences, a Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) Council Member and Metta Curator for Blockchain.
Drake, through his family office LDJ Capital, has acted as GP & LP investors with his partners in fund-of-funds, realty funds, venture capital funds & hedge funds. Drake’s investments currently have 50+ global directors that maintain relations with institutions & family offices with $1.5 trillion in assets. Drake’s access with 100,000 investors is maintained through his media asset, The Soho Loft Media Group, which has produced & sponsored over 1100+ finance conferences since 2002 like the events with institutional media leader Thomson Reuters & sponsors from Nasdaq, NYSE, KKR, & the Carlyle Group.

Ambrosus also named Dr. Esther Amstad as its lead scientist. Amstad heads the Soft Materials Laboratory at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, EPFL. Amstad is a former postdoctoral researcher at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and holder of a PhD in Engineering from ETH Zurich.
