You can now pick up some stamps and bitcoin at more than 1,800 post offices in Austria. Starting yesterday, bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash and ETH are available at the outlets thanks to a partnership between broker Bitpanda and Austria postal service provider Austrian Post.

Vienna-based Bitpanda will make paper vouchers available at post office counters. Customers can purchase the vouchers in denominations of 50, 100, or 500 euros. After purchase, they receive a code per voucher to redeem their cryptocurrency on the Bitpanda web site.

The new service is called “Bitpanda to Go” and is currently only offered through the postal service. Users must provide an email address, and undergo verification. There are three levels of verification – starter, bronze and gold, with a fourth, silver, coming soon. Only the starter level is needed to redeem vouchers. For other services, the verification level of the account determines how much cryptocurrency you can buy each day, with higher verification leading to higher levels of redemption.
