Bitcoin Bulls On The Run, As BTC Tops $7,300br>
Bitcoin sailed back over the $7,000 mark today, hitting as high as $7,300 on some exchanges. The climb up from the $5,800 level has been faster than the descent to the bottom, proving once again the incredible volatility of digital currency.
The air is gently being let out of Bitcoin Cash’s prices. The BCC single-coin price was down to the $1,200 level this morning, a decline of seven percent. The coin’s fortunes soared as legacy BTC melted down, but now appears headed in the opposite direction.

The highest price seen was $7,333.33 on the BTCC exchange at 12:54 pm today. BTCC saw $53,777,700 of bitcoin change hands.
The lowest price seen was $6,470.96 on Poloniex’s exchange at 2:00 pm yesterday. Poloniex’s 24 hour volume was $64,158,200.
The average price on the surveyed exchanges, as weighed by volume, was $6,886.64.
Volatility was unusually high, with the BlockTribune Volatility Index coming in at 68.3. A higher number indicates greater price volatility with 50 describing an average day.
These statistics were consolidated from 8 different exchanges. It includes only BTC/USD trades and only on those exchanges that had at least 1% of the total volume of BTC/USD trades during the measurement period.
