Bitcoin.com’s multi-cryptocurrency wallet has integrated ShapeShift‘s full API to allow users to exchange between bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and vice versa.

Launched in mid 2017, Bitcoin.com’s wallet app has more than 1.7 million users. Additionally, the wallet is one of seven compatible clients that work with Bitpay’s Payment Protocol invoice integration.

ShapeShift enables users to trade any blockchain asset with another. With no login accounts required, the platform allows its users to input and output cryptocurrency types and receive an automatic address to deposit the input currency in order to collect the output currency via the addresses provided by its users. No fees are charged within the presented exchange rate. Only a miner fee of the output asset is removed from the final exchange.

Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver said the wallet’s shifting feature will allow anyone to swap these two decentralized currencies quickly and conveniently without registering for an exchange.

The ShapeShift integration expands the wallet’s features to better serve customers seeking to exchange their bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash. To use the shifting feature of the Bitcoin.com wallet, a user must have either an amount of BCH or BTC held in their wallet and toggle the shifting feature in the ‘services’ section where the Shapeshift logo is located.

“This partnership is a major milestone for the Bitcoin.com wallet and moves us one step closer to our goal of offering a comprehensive bitcoin platform of tools and services in addition to standard wallet features,” said Ver. “Integrating ShapeShift into the Bitcoin.com wallet further increases the value proposition we strive to bring to our wallet users.”

‎“Bitcoin.com has worked hard to make itself a comprehensive resource for the bitcoin and ‎blockchain communities,”‎ said Erik Voorhees, CEO and Founder of ShapeShift. “Offering their ‎wallet users the ability to shift between bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash within the comfort of their ‎wallet is a great success and we are happy to offer the services to make this feature possible.”
