Bitcoin continues to climb, touching close to $12,500 early this morning on at least one exchange. Currently, bitcoin is up about four percent in the last 24 hours.

The highest price seen was $12,499.00 on the BTCC exchange at 3:18 am today. BTCC saw $149,793,000 of bitcoin change hands.

The lowest price seen was $11,070.00 on Bitfinex’s exchange at 1:48 pm yesterday. Bitfinex’s 24 hour volume was $665,102,000.

The average price on the surveyed exchanges, as weighed by volume, was $11,587.86.
