UK FinTech firm Revolut has announced that its customers can now buy, hold, and exchange bitcoin, Litecoin and ethereum directly in their accounts.

Revolut is a digital banking alternative that includes a pre-paid debit card (MasterCard), currency exchange, and peer-to-peer payments. The company currently supports spending and ATM withdrawals in 120 currencies and sending in 25 currencies directly from its mobile app.

The latest crypto support will allow users to hold their cryptocurrency within the Revolt app or transfer it to other customers for free. It can also be traded in 25 currencies, including the Swiss Franc, Polish Zloty, Hungarian Forint, and British Pounds. If a user has no fiat currency in their account, they can still use their card, Revolut will automatically convert the necessary amount of cryptocurrency to fiat to fund the transaction.

“Despite being one of the hottest trends in the world right now, getting exposure to cryptocurrency has notoriously been time-consuming and expensive,” said Revolut CEO Nikolay Storonsky. “We’re going to open up cryptocurrency exposure to everyone, faster than any other platform on the market.”
