Bitcoin Prices Hold Steady As Market Cap Tops $600 Billion For Cryptocurrenciesbr>
Total market capitalization for cryptocurrencies went over the $600 billion mark on Monday, according to data provided by Coinmarketcap.com. That represents more than 1,300 cryptocurrencies on the market.
But the best may be yet to come. Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain, said in a CNBC TV interview:”I think that we’ll see the total market cap of digital assets hit a trillion dollars in 2018. I don’t know if it’ll hold a trillion dollars but I think we’ll see that milestone breached.”
Bitcoin certainly is the major driver of that. The legacy cryptocurrency was just below $20,000 this morning, holding steady at that lofty level for the last few days.
