Cryptocurrency Course Offered By Belarusian National Tech University

The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) has announced a diploma course in cryptocurrencies. The announcement came after Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree which creates a legal framework for cryptocurrencies, initial coin offerings (ICO), and smart contracts.

The one-year and eight-month long program will cover operations with cryptocurrencies, operations with cryptocurrency futures, the use of blockchain technology, and ICO. It will be available to persons with higher education as well as senior students of higher education institutions. The program will begin on March 12, 2018.

The training will be conducted within the framework of the retraining program on the basis of higher education in the specialty “securities transactions.” Successful graduates will receive the qualification “specialist-analyst of the securities market.” The cost of training is about $1,000 USD. Initially it is planned to form a group of 25 people.

The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) is one of the leading technical universities of Belarus. The BNTU has been training engineers since 1920. The BNTU comprises 17 faculties offering training in 89 specialities and 121 specializations. It trains over 37,000 students in advanced BA, MA, PhD, and post-doctoral programs. BNTU has 41 research laboratories creating innovations, transferring technologies, and cooperating with production. It also runs four institutes offering refresher courses in the newest areas of technology and and economics.
