Bitcoin continues to linger around the $10,000 per single coin level, as investors wait for a definitive trend up or down in the volatile market.

Today’s digital currency market was trending up as of mid-morning, with green arrows throughout the top ten showing a slight recovery from a weekend slump. Litecoin made the most notable recovery, rising from a low of around $180 per coin to go over $221 this morning.

The highest price seen was $10,565.70 on the HitBTC exchange at 11:24 am today. HitBTC saw $61,345,400 of bitcoin change hands.

The lowest price seen was $9,284.30 on Bitfinex’s exchange at 1:36 pm yesterday. Bitfinex’s 24 hour volume was $452,657,000.

The average price on the surveyed exchanges, as weighed by volume, was $9,753.54.

Volatility was a bit above average, with the BlockTribune Volatility Index coming in at 51.1. A higher number indicates greater price volatility with 50 describing an average day.

These statistics were consolidated from 8 different exchanges. It includes only BTC/USD trades and only on those exchanges that had at least 1% of the total volume of BTC/USD trades during the measurement period.
