Electrum.org releases version 2.0 of Bitcoin Wallet software

Electrum.org announced the release of version 2.0 of its Bitcoin Wallet software this Tuesday. The information was reported to Reddit by users xdrpx and moon_drone.

The product offers a number of features including:
Your private keys are encrypted and never leave your computer
It uses servers that index the Bitcoin blockchain
Electrum supports third-party plugins: Multisig services, Hardware wallets, etc.
You can export your private keys and use them in other Bitcoin clients.

Distributions are available for systems running Windows, Linux and OSX as well as Android devices.
