Libra hires PwC finTech lead Jeremy Drane as chief commercial officer

Libra, developer of blockchain and smart contract application software, has appointed Jeremy Drane as chief commercial officer.

Jeremy Drane was previously employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as U.S. Blockchain & Smart Contract Leader. He also held various leadership positions at PwC in the tax, assurance and advisory lines.

“His expertise in setting commercial strategy, engaging with the startup ecosystem, and positioning blockchain solutions with global financial institutions further enables Libra to deliver on its strategy to be the management information layer for blockchain inspired systems. We are excited to have him join the team,” said Libra founder and CEO Jake Benson.

In addition to Drane, the company has also grown recently with other key additions to Libra’s executive management team. The company saw the addition of Dave Albert as chief operating officer and Deepak Rao as VP Product Strategy.
