Gaming platform Playkey has partnered with mining company GigaWatt to expand its forthcoming cloud gaming ecosystem. The goal is to unite gamers with powerful computer rigs into the cloud, allowing them to use their GPU power to mine PKT tokens and pay for their gaming habit while contributing to the overall game speeds via their combined processing power.

Playkey allows anyone around the world to play unlimited top-rated games without downloads or installations. Right now, the service has about 1.5 million users on centralized servers, but plans to launch a blockchain-powered cloud platform next year. Playkey enables gamers to contribute their GPU power to mining efforts to create PKT tokens, which pays for their gaming habit.

“By working with Playkey, GigaWatt continues to diversify its mining opportunities and increase opportunities for its WTT token members,” said Dave Carlson, founder and CEO of GigaWatt. “We’re happy to be working with the innovative team at Playkey as they grow their powerful peer-to-peer gaming ecosystem.”

About 1.5 million gamers use the Playkey platform each month. Servers are currently provided out of Frankfurt, London, Moscow, and Amsterdam. A public initial coin offering (ICO) starting Nov. 1 and the partnership with Gigawatt will allow Playkey to rapidly expand in the US.

GigaWatt provides turnkey mining service along with high-density distributed computing in areas like Washington and Wenatchee. It is known for its full range of mining service, which includes private blockchain servicing, equipment sales, and maintenance.
