IDEAS Global Blockchain Hackathon has named AIVON, an open network for video powered by artificial intelligence and human experts, as the first place winner of its project pitch competition held in Toronto, Canada.

The competition required participants to demonstrate success across a wide variety of performance indicators, including application of the project, use of open source software, successful case studies and inclusion of latest industry trends. AIVON’s solution which encompasses artificial intelligence – fast-growing trend in blockchain – delivered on all counts, attracting the attention of top industry and blockchain engineers, start-up teams and investors. Following two days of pitches and deliberation, AIVON prevailed as the top prize winner.

AIVON’s first place award marks the eighth consecutive win at top blockchain and technology events. AIVON previously won 1st place at IDEAS’ Global Blockchain Hackathon at Chicago Blockchain Week in August 2018, 2nd place at a blockchain hackathon in July and also won top honors at this year’s TokenMatch pitch competition, taking home first place at both events in New York and London. AIVON also won 2nd place in pitch competitions at CoinAgenda Asia, Europe and most recently at CoinAgenda Global for showcasing its decentralized video search engine and open source API protocol that any company or person can utilize for better search, discovery and accessibility of video content thru metadata.

“Artificial intelligence is one of the most high-profile uses of blockchain as many companies are looking for ways to leverage two of the most polarizing technological innovations,” said Rex Wong, CEO of AIVON. “We believe that AIVON is more than just a cutting-edge use case for AI and blockchain. We are powering the future of video search and making it useful for every business and every person. Winning these awards broadens awareness of AIVON and provides us with valuable feedback as we continue to develop our solution.”

AIVON’s video network is incentivized via a token ecosystem as the protocol analyzes video content and generates enhanced metadata to be verified by human experts, thus ensuring quality. AIVON’s token ecosystem is available to end users, freelancers, content providers, service providers, advertisers, AI Providers, etc., powering up to fifteen key features for decentralized applications on the AIVON platform. These include better search, monetization with AI-driven contextual ad tech, rights management, content creation clipping, brand safety, digital fingerprint and forensics, tagging and indexing, ad search, content matching and recommendation engine, analytics and more.

The AIVON token is now available in private pre-sale, and will be available through a public token sale soon.
