The Arizona state senate has passed a bill that will make blockchain signatures and smart contracts legally binding. The bill requires Gov. Doug Ducey’s signature before it becomes state law.

The HB 2417 bill was introduced in February of this year by state representative Jeff Weninger. It passed the Arizona senate by a 28-1 vote after passing the state house unanimously.
