BAE Systems has added Robert Goldfinger to its Applied Intelligence business unit based in Raleigh, N.C. as a global expert financial crimes solutions.

Goldfinger will focus on financial institution relationship enhancement to support of go-to-market sales and marketing strategy in North America for BAE Systems’ banking solutions within financial crimes, risk, compliance and fraud.

Goldfinger comes to BAE Systems with nearly three decades of leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. This experience includes leadership roles at technology companies, a financial institution, and a government agency.

Steve Moskowski, head of sales USA and Canada at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, called Goldfinger “a highly talented and proven leader, holding multiple executive management roles at leading companies. Robert’s breadth of experience and proven ability to design both operational and technical approaches to enhance risk, fraud and compliance programs for financial institutions will make him a valuable addition to the Applied Intelligence team.”

Financial institutions face continuous and ever-changing challenges in the effort to curtail financial crime,” said Goldfinger. “Regulatory compliance requirements in combination with internal and external mandates require bank leaders to choose and deploy technology solutions that enable the financial institution to address the challenges, and meet and exceed their business requirements. BAE Systems solutions provide the answer for these critical needs.”

BAE Systems has published a new report which investigates the internal silos and divisions within banks that criminals are able to exploit. The report, Problem Shared, Problem Solved, addresses the problem of siloed cyber, fraud and compliance groups and provides a step-by-step guide to help create more effective teams that pass the right intelligence at the right time between themselves and present coherent, actionable information back to the business they protect and support.
