Bitcoin And Other Cryptocurrencies Make A Strong Comebackbr>
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the top ten bounced back strongly over the last 24 hours, avoiding a sustained market plunge after a strong showing over the weekend.
At mid-morning, bitcoin was at the $6,500 level, up about two percent over the last day. Similarly, ether was on the rebound, recovering a bit of ground after soaring as high as the $230 range.
The big winner on the day was Ripple’s XRP, up more than 19 percent. The big boost may have come from news that Japanese ATMs are now allowing XRP conversion to cash, a big step forward for a unit that has largely been used by financial systems instead of consumers.
