Bitcoin Back Below $8,000 As Crypto Market Turns Red

The cryptocurrency market are back in the red today, with total market capitalization down $11 billion from yesterday’s high of $257 billion.

Bitcoin registered a massive growth last week, trading above the $8,000 mark for the first time since July 24, 2018. On Friday, however, the most popular coin experienced a sharp correction, bringing the price below the $7,400 range. During yesterday’s session, bitcoin managed to surge back above the $8,000 level again before dropping over 1 percent of its value over the last 24 hours. In early trading, the top coin is trading at around $7,915.

The rest of the top ten coins are showing losses between 0.67% and 3.57%.
