Glitch – Bitcoin is Not Crashing

Investing, News | June 30, 2017 By:

A brief glitch today on seemed to indicate a massive overnight sell-off in bitcoin, showing the single-coin price plummet to just above the crucial $2,000 mark. That would be down $500 from yesterday’s $2,500 range.

Fortunately, that information proved to be a temporary glitch, and bitcoin was soon trading back in the mid-$2,500 range. CoinMarketCap could not be reached for comment.

Reddit users noticed the change, and several Twitter users also commented on the price rollercoaster. Some blamed a large dump of bitcoin on a Russian exchange for the issue.

Block Tribune’s 24-hour statistics will be updated later today.

Users have criticized the service in the past for its policies.
