Bitcoin Flat, But Other Crypto Markets Show Small Signs Of Life

The cryptocurrency markets remained comfortably numb today, as most coins moved slightly upward, but with little apparent momentum. At mid-morning, bitcoin stood at $7,500 per single coin, essentially flat from yesterday’s levels.

The rest of the top ten coins moved from one to three percent, mostly green arrows, but with little excitement or apparent momentum.

The highest price seen was $7,857.20 on the Livecoin exchange at 12:49 pm today. Livecoin saw $14,104,100 of bitcoin change hands.

The lowest price seen was $7,049.20 on CoinsBank’s exchange at 1:31 am today. CoinsBank’s 24 hour volume was $16,678,500.

The average price on the surveyed exchanges, as weighed by volume, was $7,459.36.

Volatility was lower than average, with the BlockTribune Volatility Index coming in at 41.1. A higher number indicates greater price volatility with 50 describing an average day.

These statistics were consolidated from 15 different exchanges. It includes only BTC/USD trades and only on those exchanges that had at least 1% of the total volume of BTC/USD trades during the measurement period.
