Bitcoin Is Holding On, As Top Ten Cryptocurrencies Strugglebr>
The cryptocurrency market was holding firm today, with most of the top ten coins within a percent or two of Friday’s closing prices.
At mid-morning, bitcoin sat at the $6,400 level, down slightly from its weekend high, but in no apparent danger of a plunge. Volume was extremely low over the last 24 hours. as summer vacations took precedence over day trading.
Ethereum’s brief rally ended, as ether sank back below the magic $300 mark to $290 on Monday morning. The rest of the market was a mixed bag, with gainers just slowing percentage point bumps and losers in the one to three percent range.
