Blockchain Firm Ripple Hires Ron Hammond As New Manager Of Government Relationsbr>
Distributed ledger firm Ripple has appointed Ron Hammond as the company’s new Manager of Government Relations.
Hammond previously served as a legislative assistant for Rep. Warren Davidson (Republican). He was part of the team that drafted the Token Taxonomy Act, a bill that exempts cryptocurrencies from being classified as securities and attempts to introduce legislation to provide cryptocurrencies a clearer legal standing in the US.
According to Coinfomania, Hammond’s new role at Ripple will likely involve promoting legislative efforts that are beneficial to his new employees as well as collaborating with public relations officers to organize campaigns that will earn Ripple the backing of government officials and the public.
“Ron brings a wealth of legislative and policy experience – excited to have him on board as we continue to work closely with lawmakers, regulators, and partners worldwide,” said Ripple’s Global Head of Government Relations Michelle Bond.
