Indonesia-based blockchain gaming platform PlayGame has secured undisclosed investments from the TRON Foundation and public blockchain platform Achain.

PlayGame is a decentralized crypto arcade playground that uses blockchain technology to offer a simple solution for game developers to fund their projects. The platform allows developers to acquire, retain and monetize their games to crypto-enthusiasts, without having to worry about payment discrepancies. Using blockchain, the platform also aims to combat rampant piracy issues and allow indie developers to compete on the CPI (Cost-Per-Install) war.

The company said that the funding will allow them to fast-track its “proof of play” and launch its crypto payment gateway. It will also allow the company to expand its platform to Japan, Korea, China, and Southeast Asia. In addition, it will provide access to building partnership and alliances with strategic partners.

TRON’s investment is part of its $100M blockchain game fund Tron Arcade, which aims to empower developers to create and execute on their ideas, to introduce new games and content into an autonomous ecosystem, and to build a strong community of content and entertainment.

PlayGame’s strategic partnership with Achain will enable the company to penetrate the mainland Chinese and East Asian markets through guided strategies and assistance in exchange listings across the region. It will allow PlayGame to retain its PXG token as an ERC20 token, while it receives expertise and technical know-how in developing successful blockchain initiatives.

“PlayGame’s vision is something that we believe in and we know that our investment will be in good hands,” said Alex Ye, ACapital vice-president. “We have seen how PlayGame has exceeded expectations with the growth that they have been exhibiting for the last few months. It is an exciting road for our partnership, and we cannot wait to tell our avid users what we have in store.”

Anton Soeharyo, co-founder and CEO of PlayGame, said that the invesment form Achain will allow PlayGame to explore more opportunities, keep up with and create new trends in the crypto gaming sector, and establish a stronger network with their peers.

“We are excited to take our relationship with Achain further, as they have been a tremendous help to us thus far,” Soeharyo said. “This is definitely a long-term partnership.”
