Blockchain startup ChainThat has appointed Kathleen Faries as its Bermuda Advisor.
ChainThat provides enterprise solutions, using blockchain, DLT and smart contracts, that allow insurers, reinsurers, brokers and MGAs to securely collaborate peer-2-peer with increased speed, guaranteed data quality, and greater operational productivity. Its Insurance Blockchain Framework (CT-IBF) supports applications across the value chain covering placement, contract management, facilities, claims administration, accounting and settlement supporting operational and strategic benefits in the insurance ecosystem.
Faries, former Head of Tokio Millennium Re AG (TMR), Bermuda, has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance market including property and casualty broking into the US, London and Bermuda markets as well as developing and managing captive insurance companies. She served as Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Solution Management Ltd. (TSM), where she spearheaded the expansion of TMR’s capital markets strategy with the start-up of TSM and Shima Re in 2012 and was instrumental in building TMR’s reputation as a leader and innovator in the ILS arena.

Faries will be working closely with the ChainThat team as their Bermuda Representative and Advisor to support and further drive the adoption of the Bermuda Platform and wider Bermuda Vision.
