Blockchain Startup Hub Launched By Oasis Labsbr>
Blockchain startup Oasis Labs has created a new startup incubator to accelerate privacy-first computing on blockchain.
Oasis Labs a privacy-first, high-performance cloud computing platform on blockchain. The company aims to bring privacy and security protections previously not possible on a blockchain, as well as processing capabilities that have orders of magnitude greater performance than existing systems.
The new startup incubator, called Oasis Startup Hub, aims to create an ecosystem for blockchain developers, investors, technologists, and industry key-players to collaborate. It will offer developers access to technical support and early access to new technology to enable new applications which feature the security, privacy and scalability benefits of Oasis Labs’s decentralized protocol. The hub will also provide strategic advice and feedback from top blockchain investors, such as a16zcrypto, Accel, Binance Labs, Pantera Capital and Polychain Capital.
Dr. Dawn Song, CEO of Oasis Labs, said that they established the hub because of strong interest in their private testnet from companies and developers who want to build scalable applications that protect user data and put privacy first – and are constrained by existing platforms.
“We’re encouraged by the diversity and volume of application developers who share our values and validate our approach,” Song said. “We designed the Oasis Startup Hub to bring experts together for invaluable interactions around how to design, build and deliver exciting new applications.”
Oasis said that several companies have already joined the Oasis Startup Hub, which are working on applications that “require strong privacy protections,” ranging from decentralized credit scoring to distributed data marketplaces for AI.
“As high-profile privacy failures proliferate, the value of applications that put data protection at the heart of operations will only continue to soar,” said Jake Flomenberg, partner at Accel. “Oasis is taking an important step toward building a vibrant community committed to addressing serious issues in today’s computing landscape. Together, we’re helping unleash the power of data through innovative applications which responsibly protect privacy.”
