Blockchain real estate startup Ubitquity has signed Oklahoma City-based AIC Title Service as a client.

Ubitquity is a company headquartered in Delaware which makes a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform using blockchain technology. Its SaaS Platform and API, which compliments its existing platform launched in March 2016, utilizes blockchain and off-blockchain data storage. This enables users to ensure the authenticity of information related to the land or property in question, in particular its current ownership and all the historical transactions.

Based in Oklahoma City, OK, AIC provides comprehensive Aviation Transaction Management Services to both professionals and individuals that ease access and affordability to Title Search, Escrow, FAA Document Submission, International Registry Services, Lien Clearance and 1031 Like-Kind Exchanges.

AIC is planning to build a parallel, blockchain-based system for parts of the title and registration process in its new Aircraft Closing Room. It also plans to expand its blockchain use and offer more services powered by Ubitquity’s Blockchain API in the near future.

“When I bought AIC Title Service in 2003, my goal was to take an archaic industry and turn it into an industry of today,” said AIC owner Clay Healey. “The vision that I have for this industry is the ability for us to take the information that we need to provide to our clients and get that to them in a more timely and secure fashion. The next step of this process is blockchain.”

Last month, Ubitquity added ChromaWay’s Postchain software to its list of supported chains in order to continue delivering seamless blockchain agnostic experience to its customers. Postchain is a consortium database that combines the power and flexibility of mature database systems with the secure collaboration and disruptive potential of blockchain.
