Bitcoin ATM network Coinsource has added 14 new machines in California, bringing its state total to 32 ATMs. It now claims it’s the state’s largest operator.

Coinsource claimed last year that it was adding an average of 1.2 machines per week, but has ramped up its activity. It now claims the installation rate has climbed to 2.3 machines per week.

The new Southern California machines are in San Marcos, San Diego (two), Santa Ana, Pacoima, and Los Angeles (three). The Northern California locations are in Santa Clara, Sacramento, Daly City, Fremont, Hayward and Richmond.

“In the past, we’ve seen a tremendous amount of success with our machines on the west coast,” said Coinsource CEO and co-founder Sheffield Clark. “California is currently the most densely populated state with bitcoin ATM machines, and to become the leader in this market is a proud moment for our company.”

Coinsource currently has installed 96 machines in the U.S. Besides California, bitcoin ATMs can be found in Louisiana, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas.
