Crypto.com Names Steven Kalifowitz As Chief Marketing Officer

Hong Kong-based startup Crypto.com has appointed Steven Kalifowitz as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com provides an alternative to traditional financial services, turning its vision of “cryptocurrency in every wallet” into reality, one customer at a time. Crypto.com claims that its platform is built on a solid foundation of security, privacy and compliance and claims to be the first cryptocurrency company in the world to have CCSS Level 3, ISO27001:2013 and PCI:DSS 3.2.1, Level 1 compliance.

Kalifowitz has more than two decades of experience managing world class brands, and has a proven track record of building teams that deliver transformative brand experiences. Kalifowitz was most recently the president of Localize.city, a real estate platform harnessing the power of AI to generate knowledge about every address in New York City.

Kalifowitz was based in Singapore from 2010 – 2017, founding and growing business for R/GA and then Twitter throughout Asia and the Middle East. His career began in the film business at HBO where he produced Live Boxing, Inside the NFL, and Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel in addition to several of documentaries. His work has earned industry recognition with two Emmy Awards and four nominations. As a leading media expert, Kalifowitz has served as a juror at many industry award shows, including Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, Festival of Media Awards, and Dubai Lynx. In addition, Kalifowitz has been a featured speaker at industry events such as SXSW.

His hire comes at a time of rapid growth for Crypto.com, which has doubled its team from 250 six months ago to more than 500 today and surpassed 3 million users. The energy and experience Kalifowitz brings to his role will catalyze the next era of Crypto.com’s growth, furthering its mission to put cryptocurrency in every wallet.
