Execution and order management system provider Horizon has added crypto exchange Binance to the list of its cryptocurrency gateways.

Horizon empowers capital market players by building powerful algorithmic technology into its electronic trading platform and offering trading opportunities through direct connectivity to more than 150 exchanges including 60 brokers worldwide. Horizon enables clients to quickly create, test and implement automated trading strategies in real-time, in line with its ‘Trade Your Way’ philosophy. Its platform can be easily integrated with rich APIs and allows proprietary strategies to be built while keeping traders’ code confidential.

With connectivity available to other crypto exchanges such as Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp and Bittrex, adding Bnance to the list allows hedge funds to trade spots and futures cryptos through Horizon’s algo framework and principal trading features.

Vincent Dumontoy, Global Head of Product Management at Horizon Software explains: “Cryptocurrency market capitalization reached close to $3 trillion USD at its peak in November 2021. We believe cryptocurrencies are here to stay as market participants use them to diversify their portfolios and to perform transactions on-chain.

“As a cross-asset trading platform, cryptocurrencies are an integral part of Horizon’s strategy. We’re already connected to main cryptocurrency exchanges and offering full scope of Principal Trading strategies on crypto cash & futures through Market Making and Algo Trading.

“In 2022, we’ll extend our Principal Trading scope to options on Deribit and our Agency Trading modules will also handle 10-9 quantity precision to be able to execute crypto client orders. As our full trading platform & workflows become crypto-compliant, we believe Horizon is uniquely positioned on crypto markets.”
