Crypto Exchange Bittrex Adds Ethereum Classic And Ripple Trading Pairsbr>
Cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex will be launching new USD trading pairs for Ethereum Classic and Ripple.
The new trading pairs, which will be added to already listed USD markets for bitcoin, ethereum, Tether and TrueUSD, are set to go live on August 20. USD trading pairs are only available for corporate and personal account customers, who reside in eligible states and qualified international regions.
Bittrex said it will continue gradually adding cryptocurrencies to its USD markets using a phased approach to ensure quality in processes and systems before making hem available to qualified customers.
“While we dream big, we also plan wisely,” the company said. “That’s why we will continue to use a phased approach for USD trading. We are taking our time and ramping up these markets, processes and systems through a measured approach before we open it up to all qualified customers. Our phased approach not only allows us to stress test our systems, but also ensures we have time to properly evaluate which tokens should be added to our USD markets and when.”
Bittrex has also invited any token teams interested in getting listed on the platform to apply. The company added that if accepted, the tokens can possibly be added to the USD markets in the future.
“Today’s announcement is another exciting step toward further adoption of blockchain technology, which is truly revolutionary,” the exchange said. “In addition to broader acceptance, expanding fiat markets to the top digital currencies on our trading platform will help limit the dominance and influence of any one token over other blockchain projects – a necessary evolution if we’re going to unleash blockchain’s potential benefits for consumers and businesses.”
