Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced that XRP trading is now available to its users residing in New York.

In February of this year, Coinbase added support for Ripple’s XRP on Coinbase Pro, a platform that caters specifically to professional crypto traders, but did not include New York in the list of supported jurisdictions.

Yesterday, Coinbase announced on Twitter that it has expanded its exchange platform to support XRP trading in New York.

“XRP (XRP) is now available to Coinbase users who are New York residents,” the exchange said. “New Yorkers can now log in to buy, sell, convert, send, receive, or store XRP on http://Coinbase.com or using our iOS and Android.”

Coinbase also announced that it is deepening its support for crypto-to-crypto trading globally by adding USD Coin (USDC) trading to customers in 85 countries on Coinbase and Coinbase Pro.

“We’re welcoming more people around the world to trade between different cryptocurrencies on a trusted platform,” Coinbase said. “This helps accelerate the global adoption of crypto trading, and with USDC, enables access to a stable store of value.”
