Singapore-based crypto exchange CoinBene is partnering with the McAfee Alliance to “promote transparency, corporate responsibility, and self-regulation in the cryptocurrency markets.”

The McAfee Alliance, founded by crypto influencer John McAfee, is a movement aiming to unite the crypto industry, promote transparency and fairness, and combat perceived corruption of some exchanges in the cryptocurrency sector.

Under the agreement, CoinBene and the McAfee Alliance will work together to combat the corruption of exchanges and promote self-regulation in the benefit of cryptocurrency users.

“Regulation is important in this industry because if the crypto markets don’t regulate themselves, bad actors will,” said McAfee. “I look forward to uniting crypto assets and am grateful for CoinBene’s shared mission to protect involved individuals and companies.”

One of the main goal of the partnership is to support cryptocurrency companies adversely affected by disputes within the exchange sector. McAfee has repeatedly spoken against crypto exchange HitBTC, asking existing users to boycott the exchange. It was reported that HitBTC has been asking crypto firms a $500,000 fee just to be listed. Coinbene agreed to list for free all the coins and tokens that decide to ask to be delisted by HitBTC.

“We aim to ensure that our exchange and the industry provides cryptocurrency investors with the safeguards they should expect when investing their hard-earned money,” said Raquel Vaz, director of international business development and marketing at CoinBene. “At a time of unresolved market issues, this partnership was formed to build an industry standard and provide more security to the larger community.”
