Crypto Markets Continue Downward Trend, Bitcoin Falls Back To $5,000

The cryptocurrency markets have continued to decline today, with all the top ten coins showing slight to moderate losses. The total market cap for all cryptocurrencies has lost $6.7 billion in the last 24 hours.

The price of bitcoin retreated below $5,100 for the first time this week to trade near $5,040. The top coin traded as high as $5,354 during yesterday’s sessions before losing more than 3 percent of its value.

The rest of the top ten coins are showing losses between 2% and 6.36%.
