Crypto Markets On The Edge, As Weekend Rally Suddenly Explodesbr>
The crypto markets were in the Goldilocks zone early on Sunday – not too hot, not too cold – following a minor rally on Saturday. But then, at mid-morning, the markets took flight.
Bitcoin sat at $3,800, virtually unchanged on moderate volume. That changed quickly, and bitcoin suddenly zoomed to the $4,000 level, a gain of more than five percent.
Litecoin was the early winner on the day, continuing its strong gains of the previous sessions and up more than 11 percent to $39.
Ethereum, which has been on a tear thanks to its upcoming updates, cooled off slightly. It was down more than two percent to $154 before recovering to the $158 mark later.
