The cryptocurrency markets stirred awake to start the work week, as the top ten coins showed upward movement nearly across the board.

At mid-morning bitcoin was at the $6,600 level, a slight gain from last week’s closing that continued momentum built on the weekend, when it rose as high as $6,800 on at least one exchange.

Ethereum was at $228, up two percent and seemingly unaffected by news that its leading developer, Vitalik Buterin, is moving away from the project. Other coins had gains of two to near four percent, as market momentum trended up.
