Crypto Markets Take Small Bite Out Of Profits

Investing, News | October 9, 2018 By:

A bit of profit was taken off the table in early trading in today’s crypto markets. Most of the top ten coins were slightly in the red, sporting losses of one percent or less over the last 24 hours.

Bitcoin held at the $6,600 level on extremely light volume. The coin has basically been sideways for the last week, trading in a very narrow range.  Likewise, ether was down to $226, a slight dip from yesterday and continuing its holding pattern after a strong run-up.

The early day outlier was XRP, which was down more than three percent. That continues its descent after a strong run-up on built on the release of its xRapid product last week.
