Crypto Wallet Hardware Manufacturer Ledger Raises $75M USD in Series Bbr>
French cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger has raised $75 million USD in its Series B round, led by European venture capitalists Draper Esprit. The massive round is the largest VC fundraise to date in the crypto wallet storage sector.
CEO Eric Larcheveque said the investment will fund research and development and expanding operations around the world.
“We initially designed our Ledger hardware wallet as an enabler for the blockchain revolution,” said Larcheveque. “Three years later and with this Series B, we are reaching a significant milestone in our path to build a technological giant in the promising space of cryptocurrencies.”
The Ledger wallet allows customers to store bitcoin and ethereum holdings offline to reduce the hacking risk.
