Czech Online Retailer Alza Accepts Bitcoin
br>Czech online retailer Alza is now accepting bitcoin. The retailer has also installed bitcoin ATMs in brick-and-mortar stores in Prague and Bratislava to enable consumers to buy bitcoin using the Czech Koruna or the Euro.
Headquartered in Prague in the Czech Republic, Alza offers a wide range of products, including home electronics, toys, cosmetics, magazines, and sporting goods. The company expanded its operations into 26 European countries in 2014.
The company is enabling bitcoin payments for all of its e-stores, which are individually present in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and Britain. The company claims the move is a response to interest from international and domestic customers. Alza is using the services of e-commerce payment gateway Bitcoinpay to enable its bitcoin payments.
“Prague is already one of bitcoin’s most important centers in Europe today,” said Alza head of Internet marketing Jan Sadilek. ” By introducing trading in bitcoins, we are supporting the growing popularity of this form of payment and the potential of new technology.”
