Findora, a confidential network protocol that enables the seamless, secure, and fully compliant transfer and verification of financial assets, has appointed Joon Bhang as Head of North Asia Operations.

Launched in 2018, Findora builds a cryptographically transparent financial network. The core solution is a fully confidential yet auditable, high-throughput, and scalable platform for asset issuance/transfer, identity attestation, proofs of compliance, and public/regulatory audits, enabling efficient, accessible, and transparent financial services.

Joon, former Executive Vice President of Korbit, Korea’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange, brings more than 20 years experience spanning traditional finance, fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and business consulting at some of the world’s leading organisations. A graduate of Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Bhang began his career in the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, and served 12 years as a strategy consultant of the financial services practice at Boston Consulting Group, Oliver Wyman, and A.T. Kearney. He also served as Co-founder and CEO of iLytics and as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Business & Corporate Strategy at CJ Foodville.

As Findora’s Head of North Asia Operations, Joon will focus on developing relationships with major financial institutions, corporations, and government bodies as the company expands its global footprint in Korea, Japan, and North Asia. Bhang will also be focusing on developing partnerships with leading institutions in the FinTech industry, and formulating the right service strategy and customizable business model for each partner.

“Findora is on a mission to transform the financial services industry by solving existing pain points, including inefficiencies, high costs, security vulnerabilities, and unequal access,” Joon said. “Our overarching vision is to build a global, decentralized, financial infrastructure, and we are combining cutting edge cryptography and business acumen to achieve this goal. “I’m excited to be at the cusp of such a nascent industry and look forward to cementing Findora’s central position in the fintech, financial services, and blockchain industry venn diagram.”

“We are delighted to welcome Joon to our team as we continue to build momentum towards establishing a new global financial system that empowers users to control their own financial data, identity, and assets,” said Findora CEO Charles Lu. “As a fellow former Stanford alumni, Joon has the business acumen, technical expertise, and high-level vision to seamlessly transition onto our team, and make an instant impact.”
