Digital Currency Markets in Strong Rally – Bitcoin, ETH, Bitcoin Cash Up On Saturday

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies climbed out of Friday’s price lull in the markets, moving up double-digits in most cases as of mid-morning on Saturday.

Bitcoin was as high as $13,626 on at least one exchange, up significantly from the $11,000 level yesterday. Other cryptocurrencies also rallied, with Bitcoin Cash breaching the $2,000 mark and ethereum’s ETH back over the $1,100 mark.

The highest price seen was $13,626.00 on the LakeBTC exchange at 12:24 pm today. LakeBTC saw $44,400,300 of bitcoin change hands.

The lowest price seen was $11,014.50 on HitBTC’s exchange at 1:42 pm yesterday. HitBTC’s 24 hour volume was $69,788,300.

The average price on the surveyed exchanges, as weighed by volume, was $12,086.07.

Volatility was a bit above average, with the BlockTribune Volatility Index coming in at 57.9. A higher number indicates greater price volatility with 50 describing an average day.

These statistics were consolidated from 13 different exchanges. It includes only BTC/USD trades and only on those exchanges that had at least 1% of the total volume of BTC/USD trades during the measurement period.
