Emma Money Management App Integrates Major Crypto Exchangesbr>
London-based money management startup Emma has integrated major crypto exchnages into its app to allow users to view all their crypto investments in real time under one platform.
Launched in January of this year, Emma is a free mobile-only banking app that helps young consumers avoid overdrafts, cancel subscriptions, track their debts and save money. The company raised a seed round of £500,000 ($651,000 USD) in July led by Kima Ventures, one of the first investors in Transferwise, and Aglaé Ventures, the early stage program of the Groupe Arnault, to develop the app.
Emma said that the app now supports several cryptocurrency exchanges, including Coinbase, Bittrex, Binance, Bitstamp, Kraken and Bitfinex. The integration will allow users to view all of their cryptocurrency investments from multiple exchanges in real time using a single interface, in addition to aggregated information from their credit cards and bank statements.
“In a few taps, crypto exchanges and individual addresses can connect to Emma enabling users to smoothly access their banking and investment information under one secure app,” the company said. “Users can now view live performance, track coins and tokens right from the app. This will be possible without ever having to manually enter a transaction again.”
Edoardo Moreni, CEO of Emma, said that the move is one of the first steps towards a world where account aggregation doesn’t just refer to banking products, but opens the doors to several financial services.
“Emma was built to empower millions of individuals to live a better and more fulfilling financial life,” Moreni said. “Cryptocurrency is the next emerging asset class and we are thrilled to welcome it as part of our family of integrations. Our users can now manage and track their crypto holdings alongside more traditional finances to make wiser and more transparent decisions.”
