Glidera launches first non-custodial Bitcoin conversion service for wallets

Glidera announced the launch of its invite-only access for its flagship service: the first broadly available, non-custodial service for people to buy and sell Bitcoin from their preferred wallet.

“We see many fantastic wallets, applications, and developer tools in the bitcoin ecosystem, but nearly all do not enable users to buy and sell bitcoin. Glidera lets any wallet developers offer the ease of use of an integrated conversion service,” said Glidera CEO Dave Ripley.

The company noted many challenges to be solved in order to offer a non-custodial Bitcoin conversion service, including regulation, compliance, bank relationships, fraud management and liquidity.

Glidera is a Chicago-based Bitcoin startup.
