Global Blockchain Council Names BitPesa’s Elizabeth Rossiello As Co-Chairbr>
BitPesa CEO and founder Elizabeth Rossiello has been appointed as one of the two co-chairs of the Global Blockchain Council.
She will work with industry experts from the council, which has CEOs and regulatory chiefs from all over the world, to determine a new set of agendas for the council. The first meeting was held in Davos, Switzerland and the next one will be in San Francisco in May, when Rosiello will officially begin her role.
The Global Blockchain Council was set up to shape international policies in the sector, with a concentration on cybersecurity.
BitPesa is an African company founded in 2013. Its main service is to provide fiat remittances between the United Kingdom and Kenya, but the company has expanded its services to other African countries over time.
