Illinois Dept. of Information And Technology Loses Three Officials, Including Acting CIObr>
The Illinois Dept. of Information and Technology is losing three top officials, including the state’s acting chief information officer.
All three have resigned and the scramble is on to find successors.
Jack King, the acting secretary of the department, and Shanna Rahming, the department’s chief strategy officer, will be taking private sector jobs. Tyler Clark, DoIT’s chief of staff, has resigned without indicating his next landing spot.
King was hired last April as Illinois’ chief technology officer after the agency’s former leader retired. His last day will be Feb. 13. He will become an IT executive with an undisclosed healthcare system.
The Department of Innovation and Technology only became a permanent part of the state’s government last July. Most agencies handled their own IT before that.
