Switzerland-based smartphone maker Sirin Labs partners with Simplex to allow its FINNEY blockchain smartphone users to purchase cryptocurrencies using credit cards directly through the smartphone.

Sirin Labs, which raised over $157 million in its initial coin offering (ICO) in December 2017, launched FINNEY in November 2018, priced at $999. The blockchain smartphone comes with a Token Conversion Service (TCS), an embedded cold storage wallet and a proprietary decentralized application (DApp) store.

Simplex provides fraud-free payment processing solutions worldwide. Its customers include some of the largest crypto exchanges, wallets and platforms in the world today, such as Shapeshift, BRD, Litecoin Foundation, Mycrypto, XAPO, KuCoin and Changelly.

The two companies first announced their partnership in February of this year, which involves the integration of the Simplex’s escrow service for fiat-to-crypto transactions. In a recent Twitter post, Sirin Labs said that it has successfully integrated Simplex’s escrow service into the Token Conversion Service, enabling FINNEY users to purchase crypto with a credit card.

“This integration marks that first step in making crypto more accessible to novice users, as well as simplifies trading for our seasoned crypto community.” said Sirin Labs CEO Zvika Landau.
