The World Economic Forum (WEF) has issued a white paper on how blockchain will be instituted into the world’s infrastructure.

The paper,  Realizing the Potential of Blockchain, is aimed at government, technology companies, NGOs and businesses in general that are considering how blockchain will affect their operations.

“This report helps us to understand that a distributed blockchain ecosystem need not be a disorganized one, and improved governance need not imply formal governmental legislation or regulation,” WEF Managing Board Member Richard Samans said.

The white paper was co-authored by Alex Tapscott, a blockchain investor and founder of the Blockchain Research Institute.
