Japanese enterprise software firm Infoteria Corporation has partnered with blockchain startup Zilliqa to enable enterprise systems to easily utilize Zilliqa’s platform.

Infoteria engages in the development and sale of software in Japan. The company’s products include Asteria Warp, a data integration middleware that supports automation of operations through non-programming technologies in various industries, and SnapCal, which provides integration for Google calendar, tasks, and iOS calendar. It also provides Handbook, a mobile content management platform for tablets and smartphones, and product support, consulting, and training services.

Created by researchers at the National University of Singapore, Zilliqa aims to solve the issue of scalability of blockchains. It is designed to scale to thousands of transactions per second. The platform is tailored towards enabling secure data-driven decentralized apps, designed to meet the scaling requirements of machine learning and financial algorithms.

As part of the partnership, both companies will promote the Zilliqa blockchain platform on Asteria, which has more than 6,500 enterprise customers and 41 percent market share in Japan. The companies will also launch a series of initiatives to support the development of enterprise decentralized applications (DApps) based on the Zilliqa blockchain and Asteria later this year.

A special connectivity adapter will be developed by Zilliqa for Asteria data integration to allow enterprise customers to easily build DApps that will interact with the Zilliqa blockchaina and their enterprise systems.

“We are really looking forward to this strategic partnership”, said Xinshu Dong, CEO of Zilliqa. “Japan is an important market for us and we are excited to be partnering with Infoteria, an established player in enterprise software to bring our scalable blockchain technology to a wider audience. It is our hope that with greater scalability and also a more secure smart contract language, more enterprises will experiment and build applications on the blockchain.”

“A scalable public blockchain is essential”, said Pina Hirano, CEO of Infoteria Corporation. “Infoteria has been seeking a wide range of blockchain adoption including non-Fintech applications. We have been waiting for a high-throughput public blockchain that is able to support enterprise applications. It is a great step forward for us to add Zilliqa as a blockchain recommendation to accomplish our future vision.”
