Coursera offers free course on cryptocurrency

Coursera‘s free course on cryptocurrency, titled ‘Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies’ will start in September.

The course will focus on understanding what is special about bitcoin and how it works at the technical level. It will also emphasize on key issues including the working mechanisms of bitcoin, its security and what makes it different, the anonymity of bitcoin users and what role regulation may play in the future.

The course will be instructed by Arvind Narayanan, assistant professor of Computer Science at Princeton University. It will be available in English and the enrolled candidate has to pass all graded assignments to complete the course. The course does not involve any course completion certificate.

For the people interested in attending this course, all they need to do is have an Internet connection, and complete the signup form as soon as possible. Moreover, there is no fixed schedule, as users can go through the lessons at their own pace, within a reasonable timeframe.

Coursera is an education platform that partners with top universities and organizations worldwide, to offer courses online for anyone to take.
