Neptune has appointed Jill Carlson as a special advisor to work with its fund managers on blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Carlson has advised such organizations as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the issue.
James Dowey, CIO and chief economist at Neptune said the firm was “delighted to be working with Jill to understand the long term impact of this important technology on the economy.”
The appointment comes as Ali Unwin, joint manager of the Neptune Technology fund, has left the firm. Neptune founder Robin Geffen will now assume responsibility for that fund.
