Binance Chain, CoolBitX Collaborate To Launch Special Edition Crypto Wallet

Crypto hardware wallet provider CoolBitX, in collaboration with Binance Chain, has announced the launch of a special edition hardware wallet.

Based in Taiwan, CoolBitX is a FinTech firm specializing in manufacturing secure, US-patented digital asset hardware and developing smart contract platforms. Backed by SBI Holdings, Midana Capital, OwlTing and Kyber Capital, the firm rolled out the CoolWallet S wallet last year. The wallet’s mobile app reports currency balances, seeds, currency amounts and addresses on its e-ink display. It also features a physical confirmation button that allows users to confirm and authorize crypto payments. CoolWallet S currently supports BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, BCH, ZEN, BNB, and ERC20 tokens.

The special edition Binance Chain x CoolWallet S integrates with Binance DEX, the decentralized exchange feature developed on top of the Binance Chain blockchain, and securely stores BUSD and BNB. The integration means that traders on Binance DEX may connect the wallet instantly to the decentralized exchange via a QR code, allowing traders to trade on their computer from the security of the hardware wallet.

CoolBitX CEO Michael Ou said that cryptocurrency markets are extremely fast-moving, but oftentimes, cryptocurrency traders need to compromise security for their ability to react to the markets.

“Users of BUSD, BNB, and Binance DEX who may want to trade cryptocurrencies on their phones may do so and still safely store their virtual assets almost immediately without having to wait until they are in front of a computer,” Ou said. “The CoolBitX team is very excited to be able to collaborate with Binance and provide a new support channel to their users.”
